Founded in 1998 by Karen Murray, Kerr’s Bakery began as a small venture rooted in passion, tradition, and a love for baking. With support from The Prince’s Trust, Karen transformed her vision into a thriving business, earning a reputation for quality and authenticity.
As demand grew, the bakery moved into new premises in Motherwell, laying the groundwork for future success. In 2012, McGhee’s Bakery acquired Kerr’s, bringing new opportunities and helping drive the brand to even greater heights.
In May 2023, Kerr’s Bakery took a bold step forward, opening a brand new £10 million production facility—a major milestone that reflects our continued growth and commitment to excellence.
Yet, through all the change, one thing has remained the same Karen Murray is still running the show, with the same dedication that started it all.
